Recently, the East China Energy Regulatory Bureau solicited opinions on the "Work Plan for the Implementation of the Power Intrinsic Safety Improvement Project". Once the plan was released, it caused discussion in the energy storage market.
The plan emphasizes that from January 2026, the new electrochemical energy storage power station must be put into operation after the battery quality sampling, fire protection system and other acceptance. By the end of 2026, we will strive to achieve accurate risk early warning and paperless safety management, improve quality and efficiency with information management, reduce labor intensity and management costs, and achieve early detection, early warning and early disposal of risks. It is strictly prohibited for units that have safety production accidents within 1 year to participate in the construction of electrochemical energy storage power stations.
The lithium-ion battery and other energy storage media of electrochemical energy storage power station are easy to cause thermal runaway when overcharge, short circuit, high temperature or internal defects, which leads to fire and even chain explosion, resulting in power supply interruption and major economic losses. Moreover, it is difficult to put out the fire and the risk of re-ignition is high, which poses multiple threats to public safety and ecological environment.
Therefore, as a solid line of defense to guard the energy storage system, the "energy storage fire protection system" plays a vital role in the healthy development of the energy storage industry. However, the ordinary fire fighting system lacks the ability to accurately detect the early signs of thermal runaway (such as abnormal voltage and gas leakage), and often misses the golden rescue time. The professional energy storage fire fighting system launched by Shengsida ensures that the fire is suppressed in the early stage of thermal runaway and avoids large-scale explosion and casualties through the design of "multi-level protection intelligent linkage.
The fire protection system scheme designed by Shengsida strictly follows GB/T 36547, NFPA 855, UL 9540 and other special standards. The products have passed CCC, UL, CE and other certifications and have been successfully applied to energy storage systems in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South America, Australia, South Africa and other countries and regions, building safety protection nets for energy storage systems in different climatic zones and different power grid environments.
In the future, Shengsida will continue to work with customers to help the safe development of green energy and tighten safety ropes for each battery cluster, each energy storage module and each power station base.
